GRAHAM STREET, AIRDRIE
MIXED USE SCHEME
The bustling destination which is Graham Street in Airdrie has grown considerably since works were completed in 2012 to create a state of the art health centre for NHS Lanarkshire, office accommodation for North Lanarkshire Council and a variety of retail opportunities on Graham Street. At nearly 80,000sqft over the upper three floors of the development, this health care facility has become one of the largest health centres in Scotland aimed at bringing together a number of local GP practices who currently operate from disparate locations within the town. On the ground floor, new office accommodation comprising 3,875sqft has been created for North Lanarkshire Council.
In addition to this, a new retail parade was established and is home to a new dental practice, Airdrie Dental Care which opened its doors to patients in 2015 as well as a variety of national retailers including Home Bargains who occupy a 19,500sqft unit, Holland & Barrett, Greggs and new addition, fashion retailer Store 21.
Airdrie lies approximately 12 miles to the east of Glasgow and together with its neighbor Coatbridge, forms the area known as Monklands.
Graham Street, the main pedestrianised street, has recently been refurbished and the pedestrian precinct area has been upgraded. New housing complexes are being built around this commuter town most notably in Chapelhall, Rochsoles and Glenmavis. In Chapelhall, the EuroCentral link allows direct links with Europe by rail and road connecting to London and onto France.
