Planning consent was granted in June 2009 to develop a state of the art health centre for NHS Lanarkshire, offices and retail properties at Graham Street in Airdrie’s town centre.
The redevelopment will result in a new mixed use scheme with approx 24,000 sq ft of new retail properties on Graham Street, a pharmacy, new office accommodation for North Lanarkshire Council on the ground floor and approximately 80,000 sq ft over the three upper floors of health care facilities to create one of the largest health centre’s in Scotland. The resource centre will bring together a number of GP practices who currently operate from disparate locations within the town.

Airdrie lies approximately 12 miles to the east of Glasgow and together with its neighbor Coatbridge, forms the area known as Monklands.
Graham Street, the main pedestrianised street, has recently been refurbished and the pedestrian precinct area has been upgraded. New housing complexes are being built around this commuter town most notably in Chapelhall, Rochsoles and Glenmavis.
